Royole Reveals the Specs of the Foldable Smartphone Flexpai 2

Royole, the Chinese vendor, recently revealed a sneak peek of what you can expect from its latest edition of the foldable phone: FlexPai 2. The company claimed that its second foldable design is all set to improve every which way. The CEO and co-founder of the company, Bill Liu mentioned that this new model would have 5G capabilities, high-end LPDDR5 RAM, Kyro 585 processor, Snapdragon 865 chipset, and a 7.8-inch screen for all the nine bands to be released across the regions of Europe, China, and the USA. 

Apart from having a lighter and thinner design than the predecessor, the phone also has a highly seamless and step-less hinge running at its back, which is mechanically sturdy and wear-proof. 

These specifications were announced at an event centered on the unveiling of the Cicada Wing third-generation display by Royole. The new features of the flexible screen would be seen for the first time on FlexPai 2, and it will reach the devices of Royole’s partners, such as ZTE.

Royole made its presence felt in the world of mobile tech when it became the first company in the world to come up with a foldable smartphone. The FlexPai phone beat both Huawei and Samsung in launching the first flexible smartphone in the world. 

The handset comes with a foldable 7.8-inch AMOLED screen that is created out of flexible plastics and can be closed down like books. However, the clunky design and lackluster UI made the FlexPai fall back in the competition as better models like Samsung Galaxy Fold, Motorola Razr, and Huawei Mate XS were launched in the market that had better designs, improved performances, and more features. FlexPai 2 is expected to a remarkable improvement from that first edition.
